Violet!!!
About Violet
Violet, a 14-pound Maltese who celebrated her 7th birthday on July 11, 2012, prefers to think of herself as a human. She works hard to prove that she is human, by standing and walking on two legs, sitting on the couch, eating chicken and vegetables, drinking from a cup, sleeping on a human bed with her head on a pillow, disrupting other human conversations and opening up her own birthday and holiday presents, no matter how well they are wrapped.
Violet’s favorite outdoor activities are power walking and fetching a stick off leash in the park when the ranger isn’t looking. She loves to travel by train, car or bicycle basket. At home, she loves lying on a pillow on the desk, looking out the window while her mom works on the computer. She looks forward to group hugs when her mom and sister come home at the end of the day. Violet’s favorite foods are chicken, carrots, pea shoots and crisp lettuce. Her favorite snacks are Charlie Bears, turkey jerky and an occasional slice of watermelon.
Violet's Award !
Violet won an award for “Most Cooperative Small Dog” in the Gramercy Park Neighborhood Dog Show when she was barely three months old. Years later, at age six, she won the highest honor in the same show, “Best Costume,” for which she was awarded a $50 gift certificate to Canis Minor pet store on Third Avenue. She was dressed as a gypsy belly dancer and she spent her prize money on squeak toys, enzymatic toothpaste and a new red leash.
